How often should I get my car air conditioning serviced?
We recommend booking your car in for a service at least every two years but best to also check with your vehicles manufacturer in case different intervals recommended.

How do I know if my AC is due for a service?
It would be a good idea to book in with us for one of our services if you are experiencing any of the below:

- A reduction in airflow
- AC is not getting as cold as it use to
- Unusual noises when the AC is turned on
- Unpleasant or musty smells coming out of the vents may indicate bacterial or mildew build up or a sign the evaporator is leaking gas into the car which is a serious problem.

Why Servicing & Maintenance Is Important
Regular servicing & maintenance ensures your car air-con systems remain working well & can also avoid costly repairs in the future.

There are many components to an air con system that require general servicing – the cabin filter can become blocked with dust, bacteria & moisture. The systems compressor can fail due to inadequate lubrication causing the entire system to stop working or a leak in the seals which can cause gas to leak.

They enable the operation of demisters which help reduce humidity within the cabin and clear up a foggy windscreen. Make sure your car’s heating and A/C is working properly. Run it for a while in each of its operating modes and check that the airflow is coming from all appropriate vents. If the A/C system takes an inordinately long time to cool the inside of the car, or if the air never gets cold enough, the system probably needs to be checked for leaks and recharged.
