Tow-Pro Elite 12 is suitable for 12-volt applications and provides users with the ability to swap between Proportional mode (inertia sensing) for highway driving conditions and User-Controlled mode, popular for off-road driving.

The Tow-Pro Elite 12 is suitable for 12-volt applications only, and is the only real choice when it comes to electric braking for your caravan or trailer: REDARC Tow-Pro. No matter what you’re towing, the REDARC Tow-Pro has you covered.

The Tow-Pro Elite provides users with the ability to swap between Proportional mode (inertia sensing) for highway driving conditions and User-Controlled mode, popular for off-road driving.

Simple to install, the Tow-Pro Elite is compatible with electric and electric/hydraulic trailer brakes and are AL-KO ESC and Dexter Sway Control System compatible.

Both can be seamlessly mounted in a blank switch panel, an unused area of the dashboard or centre console. This overcomes the possible intrusion of traditional brake controllers into the driver’s leg space and potential interference with lower airbags in newer vehicles.

Continual software upgrades have been included in the Tow-Pro Elite which result in smoother braking for motorists towing the widest range of caravans, trailers, boat trailers and horse floats.

Compatible with most modern vehicles 

Although not compatible with Ford Ranger and Everest models, when used with the recommended REDARC wiring kits, the Tow-Pro Elite ensures compatibility with most new vehicle technology and features Active Calibration. It works in 12V vehicles with Electric or Electric/Hydraulic trailer brakes.

When installed as per instructions It ensures an ADR approved installation. It has also been approved by AL-KO for use with their ESC and by Dexter with their DSC systems.

Vehicle specific installation accessories

Using the recommended wiring kits, the Tow-Pro Elite is designed to work with all modern vehicles. Selected TPSI switch inserts for many popular vehicles make for a very neat quick installation, giving a “factory” look to the user interface (a single control knob).

The Tow-Pro Elite 12 is compatible with all Tow-Pro Switch Inserts except for TPSI-008, TPSI-010, TPSI-011 and TPSI-012. 

REDARC’s range of vehicle specific wiring kits offer quick and easy installation utilising the universal TPWKIT-013 and TPWKIT-014 wiring kits, suitable for most major vehicle makes and models, excluding the Ford Ranger and Everest. 

For the installer who prefers to use their own wires, we strongly recommend including the EPDK-001 protection device blocking module for any modern vehicle with CAN Bus communications or even just cruise control.
